Lift a Family is a charitable organization working together with people across the globe to eradicate poverty in families, provide education at primary and secondary levels to orphaned children and provide medical attention to the children.
We work to promote development of societies, improving communities and promoting people's participation in fighting poverty.
Lift A Family priorities work with the poor of the poorest and the excluded to alleviate poverty and suffering in impoverished families in Uganda.L.A.F works are aimed at providing the best approach to solving some of our society's biggest challenges of iliteracy, malnutrition in children, failure to afford medical bills, lack of proper shelter. We make sure we create all possible opportunities for individuals and families for example educating orphaned and poor children, educating and supporting poor families to become self-sufficient through helping them start small scale manageable income generating projects.

EDUCATION SPONSORSHIP
Donate to fund a child's education. Most of our children are orphaned and others are from very poor families and can hardly afford education. Take a child to school today by donating to supporting this program. For individuals who are interested in having a personal sponsor child you can leave a message requesting for a personal child. Every little bit counts.
CHILD - PEN PAL
Our children love writing letters to you and enjoy reading what you write back.We believe that's through the child- pen pal program we create connection for our children to know beyond their homes and hope that through exchanging letters our children are mentored and helped to grow.We appreciate how this program has created a great family, happy, sharing a lot of love through the letters. Register for a pen pal child now, leave a message and we shall get to you instantly!
However, due to the rapid increase in the spread of COVID-19 in Uganda, we are currently not sending physical letters. Our coordinators collect the letters from the children and send them to our pen pals through email.

HEALTH
Through our health program we ensure that our children and supported families are having good health. L A F is doing various activities to ensure this is achieved.Such activities include;
1. Paying medical bills for our children
2. Promoting food security in families and providing a balanced diet to the malnourished kids.
3. Distributing sanitary pads to the girls in various communities to promote menstrual health. With $ 10 you can support one girl have safe menstruation for one year.
4. Distributing safety equipments against COVID-19, such as face masks, pocket sanitizers and hand washing facilities.
